Insta Mingle 2 What a day!

Last month we hosted the second ever Insta Mingle event in Chester. Now that the dust has settled and we have come down from cloud 9 we wanted to share some of the highlights of the day, and let you know what's next!

The overall aim of the day was to provide key workshops to small businesses, aspiring influencers and creatives to give them the confidence and impetus to achieve their online goals. As with our previous Mingle we also wanted to host an event which brought like minded people together to network and develop lasting partnerships, so we could learn and support each other.

We'd like to think that we achieved just that, and the feedback we have gathered from attendees and brands so far has definitely reinforced that belief. The sun shone down over Restaurant 1539, Chester racecourse, the attendees were fabulous and day flowed as we hoped it would!

The Day

We can't thank our workshop hosts enough for sharing their expertise and giving our attendees a breadth of knowledge and top tips to take away and put into action!

As well as being a fabulous co-host to our event Becky @boos_home delivered a fantastic workshop looking into the insights of businesses working with influencers, what brands look for in an influencer and how you can make yourself more appealing to a brand.

As a founding member of the Insta Mingle team Kirsty shared her secrets into how she has organically grown her account @greenbank_interiors to nearly 80,000 followers on Instagram. She showered the attendees with her wealth of knowledge into the world of Instagram, how to beat the debilitating algorithm and grow your following!

While Rachel from Aster and Fern, with her vast small business knowledge, gave succinct tips and valuable insights to show how small businesses can use their time more wisely on social media, get actual results and increase their presence and therefore their profits!

The fabulous Laurie and Maxine from the @secretstylingclub left us wanting more following their brilliant workshop all about how to style your home and products to get the best photos for your creative outlets as well as key interior trends. We also got to meet the ladies from @weblognorth who introduced us to their online support platform for northern creatives!

"I really enjoyed listening to the speakers. It was nice that they were all from different areas of social media and offered good insight, tips and advice. Having a few brands there was really helpful too. It's nice to meet people face to face to start building a relationship with. It was a good sized group of people that you could mingle with too." - Anon feedback

The Brands

We were delighted the Insta Mingle was sponsored by some wonderful brands who also attended the event and introduced themselves to all our attendees, giving insights into their successful businesses and how they would like to work with influencers and creatives in the future.

Special thanks to John Lewis and partners, Turtle Mats, Make my blinds and Olivia May for supporting our event and making the day even more special.

The weather was incredible and the venue was perfect for the event, we want to thanks Restaurant 1539 who looked after us so well, from the planning of the day right through to the evening reception. It allowed us to have the perfect mix between formal and social, and helped the day flow perfectly!

"Excellent location, easy parking, really lovely rooms (like the terrace where we had prosecco at the end)"
