My Bathroom revamp with Homesense

Whenever I tackle a room makeover I love every stage, the planning, designing, prepping and painting, but my all time favourite part of the whole process has got to be the finishing styling of the room. For me this is when the whole room comes together, the ideas that were once in your head or mood board finally come to life.

Buying your accessories for your room is also the most fun part, you get to go shopping, and what interior lover doesn't love a bit of interior shopping? There are a few interior shops which are my all time favourites and 'go to' places but Homesense is right at the top for me when seeking unique, quality and most importantly, great value home accessories.

Homesense is part of the Tk Maxx family and offers top brands and one off unique pieces you will struggle to find in any other high street store, all with up to 60% off.

So when Homesense got in touch to ask if I would like to visit their new store in Merthyr Tydfil I was super excited, because it just so happened that I had quite a few home projects on the go at the time and could really do with some major home accessory inspiration.

My local Homesense store is actually in Broughton so Merthyr also meant a bit of a road trip, it's only 40 minutes away from Cardiff and I've never actually been, shameful I know as I've lived in Wales all my life! So we decided to make a little weekend of it, packed the bags, dropped the kids off with the grandparents (Whoop whoop!) and off we went.

Impressions of the New store

The new store had everything I would expect from a Homesense store, I was like a kid in a sweet shop! It really was like being on a treasure hunt. I visited on a Saturday so it was quite busy, but there were plenty of staff around to assist if needed.

I loved all the bright colours coming in for spring/summer. Its the perfect place to visit when you fancy switching up your interiors with some key 'on trend' home accessories without having to redecorate. With several deliveries per week and each delivery containing thousands of items, the stock in Homesense is constantly fresh making it the place ideal place to find extraordinary and also everyday homeware.

What I bought and what I did with it!!

So as I mentioned before I have a few home projects on the go at the moment. With this in mind I decided to focus on one room, our downstairs cloakroom/Loo! For such a small space it's take so long to get it finished, the floor went down before Christmas would you believe. But it's only now that we've been ready to inject that all important personality into the room.

I went to the store armed with a wishlist

* mirror

* hand towel

* soap dispencer

* Faux plant

* soap dispenser

And I was so happy that I came away with everything on the list, in fact at one point I was getting far too carried away and had to start putting things back! But that's the problem with Homesense, the dreaded regret when you don't buy something only to find its gone the next time you visit!(once it's gone it's gone)

The products I bought came to £65 and have transformed what was a dull uninteresting room into one of the most stylish in our house! A room I used to lock so guests couldn't use it, to a place I am happy to let visitors use with pride, all the products were from Homesense.
